Marked is the markdown engine behind our content architecture: Replicator stores prose as markdown, and each site parses it locally with Marked (plus a footnote extension), keeping rendering fully under the site's control. Editors get a portable, future-proof format; sites get bit-identical HTML they own end to end.
How We Use It
- Parsing CMS-delivered markdown into site-controlled HTML
- Custom renderers for brand-specific typography and link policies
- Footnotes and extensions without forking the parser
Content Management / PIM
Why this matters: Centralizing content and product data shortens time-to-publish, lowers error rates, and keeps every channel consistent. Platforms that centralize product data, digital assets, and content, enabling omnichannel delivery, governance, and a single source of truth across websites, apps, and commerce. Preferred defaults: Pimcore for data-heavy catalogs; Sanity for bespoke editorial workflows; Hygraph for GraphQL-first federation.
