Licensing change (2025): Pimcore Community Edition moved from GPLv3 to the source-available Pimcore Open Core License (POCL). Version 2024.4 is the last GPLv3 CE release; 2025.1 and later are POCL. Pimcore 12 additionally removes the legacy ExtJS admin UI and requires replacing copyleft dependencies before upgrading.
